一道本不卡免费高清 Think of it as a $2,000 investment in your future.
Experiences like research or creative work, internships, community service, or study abroad allow you to apply what you learn in the classroom to hands-on, real-world situations. And these experiences help you gain the skills needed—to think critically and creatively, to communicate clearly, to adapt to new technologies, and to navigate today's interdependent and interconnected world—for success after Knox. That's the power of experience.
We also believe that every Knox student deserves to participate in these transformative opportunities. That's why we created the Power of Experience Grant, which provides all incoming Knox students with up to $2,000 to support a qualifying experiential learning opportunity during their junior or senior year. The grant helps to fund the additional expenses that are often associated with research or creative work, internships, community service, or study abroad.

The Global Citizen
一道本不卡免费高清Kaitlyn Hutchcroft '15, an educational studies and Spanish double major, spent a term studying in Spain through the Knox in Barcelona program. In addition to taking classes, she helped Catalan and Spanish native speakers improve their English skills. "I believe that to be the best, most well-rounded, and informed person that I can be, I must have diverse experiences, which include traveling to foreign lands." Today, Kaitlyn is an English teacher in Chile.
Angela McNeal '16, a self-designed dance studies major, designed and taught an after school dance program for at-risk students at a local alternative high school, and interned at The Dance Enthusiast. "I want to show these kids that someone believes in them," she said of her dance program. Angela is currently a corps member at City Year Chicago, which partners with at-risk schools to help students reach their full potential.
In historic Alumni Hall, we've brought together four centers that help you put the Power of Experience Grant to work—resources that send you around the world, help you make connections between theory and practice, and empower you to build a bold, brilliant future.
